What We Do

As your PR, marketing, and communications agency, our job is to tell the world who you are, what you do, and why it matters. We start with effective branding (or rebranding) and strategic communications planning. Then we can address public relations and marketing to your target audiences, as well as fundraising and development (because without funding there’s no mission). We’re also here to provide creative content that keeps you “top of mind” with the people who matter most. Here are samples of some of the work we’ve done–or are doing–for others:

Featured project: Our latest documentary!

This film, produced by Alchemy On Demand, features the grizzly as a symbol of humanity’s relationship with Mother Earth. What we are doing to the Grizzly, we are doing to her, and to ourselves–to our peril. The Indigenous people of North America have a different relationship with the Grizzly, however. They have lived peacefully alongside the Great Bear for millennia and consider her the sacred representation of the feminine Spirit of the Earth herself. As our film’s Indigenous writer/director Rain says: Now the Grizzly is not just a metaphor for Indigenous people, but for all. At no time in human history has the fragility of life been so exposed. Unless there is a rapid and mass embrace of the interconnectedness of life on Earth, our history will cease. We are in a life-or-death moment. What will we choose? Services provided: concept, resource acquisition, fundraising, website and email development, project management.

The film is scheduled for release in early 2022. For more information visit: www.doctrineofrecovery.com.

Dr. Howard Murad at home with some of his paintings

Dr. Howard Murad created the first doctor-branded, clinical skincare company, Murad LLC, at the age of 50, building it into a world-recognized brand. Twenty-five years later, he sold the company to Unilever and hired Alchemy On Demand to create a personal website (DrHowardMurad.com) that would share his legacy and promote his Modern Wellness philosophy. The website launched in January 2018 and we have been producing the semi-weekly Modern Wellness Digest ever since, sharing it on social media, and lining up speaking and podcast engagements for Dr. Murad. Want to learn more about Modern Wellness? It’s free! Click here. Services provided: logo, website, and newsletter creation; semi-weekly blog posts and e-newsletters; thrice-weekly social media postings; pitching Dr. Murad to podcasters, TV and radio hosts, and online wellness media; academic journal writing and placements.

Santa Barbara High School Masters of Code 2017-18

When Santa Barbara High School’s Computer Science Academy needed to raise funds that the Santa Barbara Unified School District couldn’t cover, it turned to Alchemy On Demand to tell the Academy’s story to foundations, corporate funders, and individual donors. That was in 2018, when the CS Academy had served only a few hundred students. Now the Academy has served over 1,200–including 295 in 2021-22 alone! Our grant writing and donor outreach support ensured that the CS Academy survived even the lean years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Services provided: grant writing, direct email solicitation, and development consultation.

Twisp: The Power of Community won awards at half a dozen international film festivals and now streams at Global Cinema Online

Our work for the Okanogan County Long-Term Recovery Group inspired us by the many ways the people of the Methow Valley work together to address major issues–from teen suicide prevention to providing affordable housing. In fact, we were so inspired we created a 40-minute documentary to empower other communities–both rural and urban–to do likewise. “Twisp: The Power of Community” has won awards from more than half-a-dozen national and international film festivals, including Best Production Design at the Global Nonviolent Film Festival. You can stream it now at Global Cinema Online. Services provided: Everything from concept, title, and website creation, to fundraising, shooting, editing, and marketing.

Long-time client Springfield Wellness Center is a pioneer in the use of intravenous NAD for addiction detox, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and even neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and CTE. Alchemy On Demand has helped Springfield Wellness Center and their founder, Paula Norris Mestayer, tell the world about this breakthrough treatment that enables patients to kick opiates, alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, and more, in 10 short days of outpatient treatment—with minimal withdrawal symptoms or cravings. Services: BR+NAD Brain Restoration Summit website, promotional materials, press releases, and media support. We’ve also helped Paula Norris Mestayer tell her remarkable story about discovering the benefits of NAD and incorporating them into her therapeutic practice in her book:

Book ghost-written with Paula Norris Mestayer

We worked with Paula to document her accidental discovery of the powers of NAD, her incorporation of intravenous NAD into her therapeutic practice, and her 20 years of ongoing research to uncover how and why this coenzyme of niacin has such a powerful, beneficial effect on patients suffering from anxiety, addiction, depression, PTSD, and the neurodegenerative effects of aging. Services: Outline, interviews, writing and editing of manuscript, working with publisher on cover, jacket, and media-link, and comprehensive publicity, including press releases, author interviews, book-signings, and news articles.
